VICE is creating a music video program to air on an American music
network. We're not interested in showing the same videos you can find
on MTV. Instead, we're looking for outside-the-box stuff: the rare,
unconventional, GOOD videos that are both musically and visually
interesting,  from Norwegian Black Metal to Japanese noise bands to
American Hip Hop and everything in between. Timeliness is not a
factor: if it's a good video, we want to see it, regardless of its
age. Whether you're a record label PR person or a kid with a video
camera, send us your footage.

Please clearly label and send all submissions (any format: VHS, DVD,

The Thrills Sign On For Lollapalooza
Irish rock act the Thrills have signed on for a portion of this summer's Lollapalooza tour, Billboard.com has learned. The group joins a lineup that already includes Morrissey, String Cheese Incident, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse, Polyphonic Spree, Sonic Youth, Gomez and Le Tigre. The tour kicks off July 14 in Auburn, Wash. As Thrills lead singer Conor Deasy told Billboard.com last month, the group had its pick of several summer touring opportunities. "We had an offer to [join] the No Doubt/Blink 182 thing [in] big arenas that fit many people," he said. "But I still have visions of the frat boy teenager kind of guys throwing beer bottles at us.
The Thrills will be touring in support of their acclaimed Virgin debut, "So Much for the City," which debuted last November at No. 14 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and has sold 82,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The NYC chapter of Bands Against Bush will be doing a pre-RNC protest show in conjunct with the HOWL! fest on tuesday August 24th at Webster Hall...BABNYC will have our own room (cap. 400) and we are still looking to fill a few slots on that bill.   if some of the SF bands are in early, do let us know.  If NY happs bands are interested in playing, do let us know. We are also looking to be a part of block/street protest parties during the RNC, and would like to help stage something subversive/rent some flatbeds+generators/shake it up.  Let's collaborate!
