i just read an interview with jack white that the white stripes have up on their website. he talks about that documentary that they're so pissed about and a little about their next album, and a lot about the infamous fight with jason von bondie. check it.

the new york times also had some good stuff this weekend, most notably this article about the annoyingness of the meatpacking district (although i think referring to the prada and seven jeans set as "hipsters" is a little misguided), and this glowing review of sufjan stevens' performance at south street seaport last week.

what else? pitchfork reviewed the killers' new album today, and they hated it. quel surprise. their anti-fun sensors must have gone up to 11 when they heard hot fuss.
