last night, along with what felt like ten million other people, i dutifully attended the annie show at tribeca grand. the place was packed to the rafters and everyone was all excited, but when she finally came on it was just sort of. . .eh. i'm not sure what everyone else thought of it, but i found the whole show tremendously boring. i mean, i like 'heartbeat' as much as the next girl, but i think maybe annie's sound just doesn't translate that well to live performance. or something.
anyway, i did run into my old friend elliott who i hadn't seen since the les savy fav show last june, so that was totally awesome. he's the one on the right.
i couldn't get up very close, but i did manage to get this unintentionally artsy and kind of awesome shot:
miss modernage has a lovely up-close-and-personal picture of the show for your enjoyment.
afterwards, i ran into arye dworken outside. i like this photo because at first glance he looks all tough (note the dangling cigarette), but then you notice he's wearing a totally girlie baby blue scarf!
anyway, after that we fled the west side and headed for joey's, where we consumed alcohol we could actually afford and a big basket of fries. the end.
as for tonight, i'm catching up on my beauty sleep, but here are a couple of parties worth checking out. . .
for the record, that scarf is wanted in 23 states for murder so watch yourself before the baby alpaca shows up at yr place on the not-so-happy side because it was called a "girlie scarf." It knows where you live.
